The play deals with life on the margins - a harsh, emotionally restrained reality shaped by survival and displacement. The challenge was to hold the weight of this story visually, conveying toughness and tension without becoming literal, and capturing the play’s social and political undertones.

Together with the director, I drew inspiration from futuristic aesthetics and socialist-communist poster design, references that connect to the playwright’s cultural background and the roughness of the story.

Bold typography, strong contrast, and a restrained color palette were used to convey rigidity, struggle, and resilience.
